On Wednesday 30th September 2020 I celebrated 30 years of Martin Jay and The Caribbean Affair which started on Choice FM in 1990 and moved over to Bakahnal Radio in 2013 when Choice FM was abolished and turned into something else. I have been on such a high recently and much of that is due to the love shown by everyone so I wanted to take this opportunity to show my gratitude for the love and also try and explain why I feel on such a high at the moment.  Pretty soon after I started the Caribbean Affair on Choice......

On Sunday 30th September 1990 my personal journey began when I started presenting THE CARIBBEAN AFFAIR at 8.02pm.  I remember arriving at 16-18 Trinity Gardens at about 5.45pm and watching the Cosby Show in the news room to settle my nerves whilst Jigs was doing his Sunday show.   I started the show with The Mighty Sparrow's Let the Music Play and here I am 30 years down the line still enjoying my life as MARTIN JAY. Choice FM Radio station gave me the opportunity to travel, to learn real radio and also the opportunity to meet some great people.   Dennis......
